We are so grateful that you’re considering joining us as we celebrate our wedding in Dubrovnik.
We understand that travelling overseas is a big ask and many of you may have other celebrations and commitments around the same time. Please know that we don’t take your effort or presence for granted.
We’ll also be hosting a Welcome Party on Thursday 26th August at 6pm (trust us, you won't want to miss it!).Please let us know when you RSVP if you'll be joining us, so we can plan food, drinks and transport accordingly.Dress code for the Welcome: Chic summer party!
You can reach the venue in three easy ways:
Walk, if you're staying near by.
Local Bus: If you prefer public transport, take a bus to Dubrovnik Old Town - Pile Gate. From there, it’s just a short walk up to the venue.
Taxi: Simply take a taxi to the Dubrovnik Old Town bus stop. From there, it’s just a short walk up to the venue.
Please note, if you're considering car/taxi, taxis are not allowed inside the pedestrian-only Old Town, restricting pickups/drop-offs to Pile or Ploče gates. So please plan ahead and consider up to 10 mins walking in your journey.
Formal – Elevated
A special day calls for your finest attire - chic, glamorous, and elegant. Go all out! Comfort and elegance can absolutely coexist, so dress to impress while feeling effortlessly your best.
Ladies: There’s no such thing as upstaging the bride - we’re going full glam. Elegant eveningwear, a long or floor-length dress sets the tone.
Gents: Your best matching suit and tie or a tuxedo will do perfectly. A sharp tailoring and polished look always works beautifully. Our Scottish friends are of course welcome to wear your kilt!We kindly ask that you avoid casual attire.

If you're planning to get a taxi/car to the wedding venue, please allow 10 minutes walking to Dubrovnik Old Town.
Old town is a restricted traffic zone, so not all taxis/drivers can enter directly. Some licensed taxis/drivers do have permits and may be able to drop you inside the Old Town, but availability can vary and you may need to wait to be matched with a driver who can access the area.
In some cases, Uber drivers may message in advance to arrange a drop-off at the Public Garage, which is around a 10-minute walk downhill from the Old Town. Alternatively, public buses run frequently and can be a reliable way to reach the area directly.
Please allow yourself sufficient time to get to the venue and don't under estimate the traffic in Dubrovnik as the city can get very busy in peak season.
In our experience, Dubrovnik is a very safe and clean city, and most locals speak English, which makes it easy to get around.
Tourist hotspots are popular for a reason, but be sure to make time to venture beyond the Old Town walls as you'll discover more fantastic restaurants, cafés, and bars.
Like any European city, restaurants on the main streets and in the busiest tourist areas, especially inside the Old Town, tend to be the most expensive. It's well worth exploring the quieter side streets or nearby neighbourhoods too.
The Old Town is at its busiest when cruise ships are in port, particularly around Pile Gate. If you can, visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon for a more relaxed experience.
Most of the below sights can be covered in a day with a Dubrovnik Pass:
- City Walls - a must-do for incredible views of the Old Town (recommend before 10am, avoid midday, as there is little shade)
- Franciscan Church & Monastery - near the Pile Gate.
- Jesuit Stairs – Famous GOT filming location (you might recognise them!).
Cavtat – A beautiful nearby town (~25 minutes by bus, Uber, or boat). Great beaches, restaurants, and a more relaxed vibe.
Blue Cave Boat Tour – Highly recommended for boat vibes, swimming and cave diving.
Lokrum Island – Quick boat ride from the Old Town harbour. Ideal for a half-day trip with nature, and swimming spots.
Restaurants
Yes Yes Sandwich – boss butties, just outside Old Town near Ploče Gate.
Peppino’s – Go-to spot for ice cream.
Ciao – Authentic Italian dishes.
Olivia – Brilliant pizza, plus a takeaway window.
Taj Mahal – (it’s not Indian), serves traditional Croatian food.
Proto – Fantastic local seafood. A bit on the pricier side, but worth it for a special meal.
Restaurant Ezza – Known for steak. Slightly more expensive but very good quality.
Holy Burek – Local Greggs - cheese burek is the one! Restaurant Dubronvik - Fine Dining, Croatian style (£££).
Gradska Kavana Arsenal - Good for both food or just a drink (or coffee)! Great views of the harbour!
